What Does BTS Mean? The group known as BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), consisting of seven South Korean teenagers, became one of the most popular K-pop groups ever thanks to their unique style, catchy songs, and powerful messages about social justice. Their popularity exploded around 2013, when they debuted on Mnet’s music show, Show Me the Money 4. They quickly rose up the ranks and won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.

BTS are often described as “Korean pop,” but they don’t fit into any specific genre. Their sound is a blend of hip hop, electronica, rock, and EDM. Though some of their songs have been criticized for being too repetitive, others have become fan favorites.

BTS’ success has been attributed to their ability to connect with people across generations and cultures. In fact, the band members themselves say that their goal is to make people feel good.

In 2017, Time magazine named BTS the world’s best musical act. The following year, Forbes ranked them as the highest-earning musicians in the world, with total earnings of $190 million over three years.

On February 8th, 2018, Billboard announced that BTS had achieved the #1 spot on the charts for the first time, with Love Yourself: Tear. The album sold 15,000 copies in just the first week of release.

HISTORY

In 2011, BTS won a contest sponsored by Korean online retailer Yes24, beating out over 10,000 applicants. They performed live on stage during the ceremony. They released their debut single “No More Dream”, produced by American producer Danja, on July 12, 2012. On August 14, 2012, BTS released their second EP, A Boy Like Me. Their third EP, Wings, was released on November 19, 2013. On June 16, 2014, BTS released their first full length studio album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. On July 17, 2014, BTS became the youngest artist ever to win three consecutive Gaon Chart Music Awards for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, and Digital & Download Songs of the Year. On October 31, 2014, they released their fourth EP, Love Yourself: Answer.

Kim Namjoon is known as the leader of BTS, the South Korean boy group that has become the most popular music act in the world since its debut in 2013. But it wasn’t always easy for him to lead his bandmates. In fact, he had to overcome some serious obstacles before becoming the leader of BTS. His story begins in Seoul, Korea, where he grew up listening to hip hop music. At age six, he began writing rhymes himself and later formed a rap group called “Runch Randa,” which means “Rap Monster.” By the time he entered junior high school, he’d already won several awards for his talent. But while attending high school, he faced another challenge – being bullied because of his appearance. As he put it, “I’m short, I’m skinny, my face looks weird.” So he changed his stage name to “Rap Monster,” hoping that people wouldn’t notice how different he looked. At the same time, he was inspired by the musical style of American rapper Eminem. So he tried to imitate his voice and style of rapping. And he even got into a fight over it. After graduating from high school, he joined a hip hop record label called “Big Hit Entertainment” and worked there for about three months. While working there, he was asked to join a new hip hop group called “Daesung Family.” When he agreed, he didn’t know what to expect. He soon found out that there were seven members in the group, including Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook and himself. They performed together, mostly covers of famous songs, and sometimes wrote songs themselves. When he debuted as a member of BTS, he thought he’d just be part of a backup group. But things quickly changed.

Jungkook was born on October 28, 2001, in Busan, South Korea. His real name is Jeon Jungkook. He joined BigHit Entertainment in 2016, where he trained under labelmate Rap Monster. Kookie was discovered when he audition for the third season of Korean reality TV singing competition Superstar K 3 in his hometown of Busan. He was among the final 16 contestants, but lost in the auditions round. However, the producers saw enough potential in him to invite him to join the agency. After joining Big Hit Entertainment, Jungkook began training under rapper and producer RM. Jungkook was eliminated during the second week of the program. But the show gave him enough publicity to be signed by several record labels. Jungkook says that the reason he chose BIG HIT Entertainment over the other agencies is because of RM, who had impressed him with his raps.

Kim Taehyung is the Son Of Farmers From South Korea Who Became A Member Of K-Pop Band “Big Hit Entertainment “Kim Taehyung, better known by his stage name V, is the youngest child of Korean farmers. At age 15, he left home to pursue his dreams of being a musician. He had been playing the saxophone since middle school and dreamed of making music his career. But he wasn’t sure how to go about pursuing it. So, he went to Daegu. he went with his friend to BIGHIT for his friend’s audition and was asked by the company to give the audition and got selected and became a member of BTS. So, V took his saxophone and headed to the audition. And he got accepted. Afterward, he called his parents to ask for their blessing. And now, V is part of one of the biggest boy bands in the world.

Suga, whose real name is Min Yoongi, started as a rapper under the name Gloss in high school. It didn’t take long for Suga to make a name for himself as both a rapper and a producer. (He was known at the time for producing and composing beats for local artists, like band D-Town, in his hometown of Daegu.) Soon after, Suga started producing tracks for more well-known artists, like Reflow, who worked with Suga on his song “Who Am I.” Suga auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment after he saw a flyer for the company’s rap competition called “Hit It.” Suga didn’t win the competition, but he did take second place, which was enough for Big Hit Entertainment to sign him as a producer and a trainee. Though he planned on only becoming a producer, Suga was convinced to join BTS in 2010 and became one of the band’s rappers. He’s joked that founder Bang Shi Hyuk “tricked” him into becoming a BTS member. Suga, whose real name is Kim Jin-young, debuted as an underground rapper under the stage name SUGA. He gained fame after producing tracks for various Korean indie groups, such as D-Town, before being signed to Big Bang Entertainment. In 2012, he joined Big Bang as a trainee, and later became a member of the band. Since then, he has released two solo albums, one with fellow members of Big Bang, and another with his own label, YGEX. Kim Seokjin, better known by his stage name Jin, was one of seven members of K-pop boy band BTS. Born in Seoul, South Korea, on April 13, 1994, Jin joined the group in 2013. His real name is Kim SeokjIn, but he changed it to “Jin” when joining the band. Kim Seokjin, better known as Jin, was born in Seoul on July 4, 1995. His real name is Kim Seokjin. He joined BTS in 2013 and left the band in 2018. He graduated from Chung-Ang University in 2016 with a degree in Theatre Arts. In 2017, he was cast in the musical “The King and I. “His debut solo album, “Love Scenario,” came out in December 2018. Jin, whose full name is Kim Seokjin, was the fourth member of BTS. Jin was originally scouted by SM Entertainment while on the street of his hometown in Anyang. But, thinking that the offer was a scam, he never followed up with the company. He was scouted again—this time by Big Hit Entertainment—while as a college student. A scout for Big Hit Entertainment saw Jin as he was leaving a bus and convinced him to audition for the company. As a theatre major with no singing or dancing experience, Jin auditioned to be an actor. However, Big Hit Entertainment had other plans and convinced him to become a trainee for BTS. He is now one of the band’s vocalists. Though Jin never planned to become a K-pop idol, we can’t imagine him as anything else other than one of BTS members.

After graduating from high school in 2012, Jimin enrolled in the Busan High School Of Arts, where he majored in dance. There, one of his teachers recognized his talents and urged him to audition for BigHit Entertainment, the label behind K-pop group BTS. In 2013, Jimin joined BTS, becoming the fourth member. His debut came with the release of “No More Dream,” which topped iTunes charts around the world. His popularity grew even further with the release of “Idol.” In 2017, he won Best New Artist at the American Music Awards.

Before BTS, J-Hope, whose full name is Jung Hoseok, was best known for being a dancer. He started in the dance group Neuron in his hometown Gwangju before he applied for JYP Entertainment. Although he passed several auditions, J-Hope was ultimately cut from JYP because he wasn’t good enough at singing. Big Hit Entertainment, however, liked J-Hope’s dancing abilities and wanted him to become a rapper. So, Big Hit sent him out to try out for the rap team, and he became a trainee under RM. Because of his dance skills and sense of rhythm, Big hit Entertainment saw J-Hope had potential as a rapper and decided to sign him as a trainee while still keeping him as part of the hip hop unit. K-pop group BTS members face possible military conscription

The controversy surrounding the seven-member boyband BTS has been building since January, when the group announced plans to hold a concert in Seoul in May during the annual military draft lottery.

Some fans expressed support for the idea, while others worried the show could damage the band’s image.

In February, the band canceled the concert, saying they wanted to focus on preparing for promotions for their upcoming album “Love Yourself: Answer.”

But the issue resurfaced again earlier this month, when the band’s youngest member Jin posted on Instagram that he had turned 30 in December and planned to enlist in the military in April 2020.

On Tuesday, the defense minister said he supported the idea of requiring BTS members to do their mandatory military duty.

Lee added that he hoped the government could come up with measures to help the band members avoid being drafted.

He did not elaborate further. The government says there is no way around draft laws, but some people believe the young stars should be exempt.

What Religion is Followed by BTS

RM once said he was an atheist in an interview, but he has made references to religion before, so we don’t know if that’s changed. In the song “Change” featuring rapper Wale, one lyric goes “Prayin for a better place for you and I.” RM has also been spotted wearing a necklace with a crucifix on it, which some consider it to be a religious symbol.

V has never commented on his religion, but some fans think he may consider himself a Christian since he created a playlist on Spotify which featured a Christian worship song from Hillsong. V has also been spotted pointing up in tribute to his late grandmother, which might mean that V considers himself somewhat religious.

Jin has never talked publicly about his religion, but the ARMY thinks he may not be religious.
