We know Sean Hannity isn’t the smartest. If he was, fatal flaw of working for Fox News notwithstanding, he wouldn’t be such a Trump bootlicker. Now it seems that Hannity needs to go back to school and relearn how to actually read. Earlier today, someone who calls themselves “Donnie L’il Hands” tweeted, “@seanhannity @RowdyBob90 YES! All Americans must join together to MAKE RUSSIA GREAT AGAIN. Teamwork!! #MRGA.”
Given the name on the account, it’s not likely that that “Make Russia great again,” was a typo. Hannity must not have seen either the name or actually read the tweet, though. Much to his humiliation and our amusement, he retweeted it and actually agreed!
What makes it funnier isn’t that the Internet has screencaps and they’re going everywhere, as screencapped tweets are wont to do, but Judd Legum of ThinkProgress tweeted it and said, “I thought this Hannity tweet was a mistake but it’s been up for 30 minutes. Says he wants to MAKE RUSSIA GREAT AGAIN.”
Sean Hannity did drop out of college. It’s a wonder he made it into college in the first place with reading skills like this. Okay, yes, he was probably skimming and didn’t see either the name on the account or the word “Russia.” Really, though, “Russia” should have jumped out at him, not gotten lost in a skim.
The tweet was finally deleted, but the screencaps will live on forever.
