With all intelligence agencies in agreement that Russian interfered with the election and hacked into our system, we’ve all been waiting to hear what President-elect Donald Trump has to say about it.
President Obama has already taken several actions including sanctions and expelling Russian diplomats, but Trump seems to not be taking the Russian interference seriously at all. And why would he? The interference may have helped lead to his victory, just as Russia wanted.
Now, Trump just tweet this out regarding the intelligence briefing regarding the hacking:
“The “Intelligence” briefing on so-called “Russian hacking” was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!”

By putting quotations around “intelligence” Trump is insinuating that our intelligence community isn’t legitimate nor are its findings. By putting quotations around “Russian hacking” Trump is insinuating that it didn’t happen. Then he follows all of that up by saying that the intelligence community is still building their case, and then calls the whole thing “very strange!”
What’s “very strange” is the fact that the incoming president doesn’t seem to trust our national intelligence agencies, and that is beyond concerning on multiple levels. If Trump doesn’t take this hacking seriously it could leave us open to more cyber-threats and beyond.
It’s absolutely terrifying knowing he’ll be in charge of our national security.
