Considering how disastrous the following election has been and the fact that we now have a former reality television star who lost the popular vote going into the White House, nothing should really be surprising at this point. However, one leading GOP strategist has just sent a shock throughout the Republican Party for trashing Donald Trump and his supporters for being “traitors” and it’s actually pretty brilliant.
On Friday, Republican operative and strategist Rick Wilson went on Twitter to blast the President-elect and anyone who supports him, accusing them of treason. Clearly disgusted that Trump has continued to defend and praise Russian leader Vladimir Putin even after multiple intelligence reports of Russia’s involvement in the US election, Wilson absolutely unloaded on Trump’s favorite announcement platform – Twitter.
In a major Twitter rant that will surely ignite a meltdown from Trump, Wilson called Trump and his fans “lackeys, ball washers and toadies” who don’t give a sh*t about America because clearly their “allegiance is to Putin.” Wilson, who has been called a traitor for actually having a spine and not supporting Trump when he announced his candidacy, let loose:
“In the course of the 2016 campaign I don’t know how many times I was called a traitor to America for not supporting Trump.”
Wilson even bashed Trump’s voters, stating that they were “intellectual giants [who] never bothered to understand the specific definition of treason” who said “all opposition to Trump [the candidate] was treason.”
Wilson wrapped up his rant by asking one very important question that will undoubtedly baffle and offend Trump and his crew all at the same time:
“What’s closer to treason? Political opposition to a candidate, or siding with a hostile foreign power in the Intel war?”
“Russia, Treason, and Trump”

Of course, don’t expect Trump or his supporters to do any sort of introspection and actually think about what Wilson has brought up. Having a GOP strategist like Wilson eviscerating the President-elect for treason is certainly something that no Republican even wants to acknowledge or comment on. However, we can’t ignore that Wilson is absolutely right – Trump and his followers are more loyal to Russia than the very country they live in and want to make “great again.”
