Obama SHAMES Trump, Shows Him How A REAL President Handles China (TWEET)

There are no words for how disappointed many Americans are that former reality television star Donald Trump is going to follow a great President like Barack Obama into the White House. For the last 8 years, Obama has been a true leader and accomplished so much for this country even despite ongoing, crippling obstruction from the GOP.

Trump should be looking to Obama as an example, especially after his latest gaffe in foreign relations. After Trump offended China and the nation retaliated by capturing a U.S. Navy drone, President Obama was once again faced with cleaning up Trump’s messes. With his usual measured, even handed approach, Obama was able to de-escalate Trump’s feud with China, which led the nation to agree to return the drone. Peter Cook, the Pentagon press secretary, said:

“Through direct engagement with Chinese authorities, we have secured an understanding that the Chinese will return the U.U.V. to the United States.”

Cook revealed that this deal was coordinated after the U.S. “registered our objection to China’s unlawful seizure of a U.S. unmanned underwater vehicle operating in international waters in the South China Sea.” One of the Pentagon officials said the entire matter should be resolved in the next few days.

Yet again Obama has shown Trump what a REAL president should act like, and how foreign affairs should be handled. Unfortunately, Trump isn’t paying attention. While Obama was working hard to keep our international affairs peaceful and intact, Trump was destroying it. Right around the time that this resolution of conflict was announced, Trump was throwing a temper tantrum on Twitter in which he told China to “keep it!” in reference to the drone.

Right now, Obama is pretty much the glue keeping the country together as Trump threatens to dismantle everything. When Obama leaves office, we are going to miss the hell out of him.
